“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!” — Psalm 98:4
This year, Lutheran schools across the country are celebrating God’s goodness with the theme “Let’s Make a Joyful Noise!” Rooted in Psalm 98:4, this theme reminds us that all of creation is called to respond with joy to the Lord’s marvelous works.
A Year of Joyful Response
“Joyful noise” means more than singing. It is every expression of thanksgiving, praise, and witness that points to our Savior. In classrooms, chapels, playgrounds, and communities, students and teachers alike are encouraged to proclaim God’s love in word, song, and service.
