St. John's Lutheran School - Tuition
2026-2027 Tuition Amounts
St. John's Lutheran Ministries School Tuition: $3200
$100 non-refundable Registration Fee due at the time of enrollment.
10% of the total tuition must be paid no later than the second Friday of the School Year.
50% of tuition is due by January 31st, and 100% of tuition is due by May 29.
(Potential tuition increase anticipated annually.)
Tuition Discount Options
Tuition Credit
St. John’s Lutheran Church–Portage members receive a $500 annual tuition credit per child (starting 2026–27).
Future years may include a church attendance component.
Multi-Child Discounts
- 2nd child: $500 off
- 3rd child: $800 off
- Family tuition capped at $8,300
- Members receive an additional $500 per child off the total
Example (4 Children, Member Family)
Total capped tuition: $8,300
Member credit: –$2,000
Final total: $6,300
RAISE RIGHT Program
Families can reduce tuition through everyday purchases:
- 50% of rebates applied to K–8 tuition or Lunch
- Rebates distributed monthly
- Easy, no-extra-fundraising savings

Payment Options
- One Payment
- Quarterly Payments (September, December, March, May)
- Monthly Payments:
- 12-month plan starting in July and ending June 2nd.
- 10-month plan starting in August and ending May 31st.
Registration Fee for New Students
To register for a new school year there will be a $100.00 non-refundable Registration Fee per family. This fee will be applied to your family tuition fees if all enrollment paperwork is completed by 3/31/2026 for the 26-27 school year.
Tuition Assistance
It is not the intention of St. John's to deny any family a Lutheran education for their children, so we have some options to help with tuition.
Wisconsin Parental Choice Program
St. John's Lutheran School participates in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP).
The WPCP program gives parents the ability to send their child to a participating private or religious school tuition-free.

St. John's Lutheran Ministries Tuition Assistance
St. John's Lutheran Ministries offers tuition assistance for families who apply by June 30th each year to help with the cost of tuition.

RaiseRite
Through our RaiseRight Program, school families are able to earn credit towards school tuition while making day to day purchases! Free and Reduced Lunch
St. John's Lutheran School participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP.) The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day. The program was established under the National School Lunch Act, signed by President Harry Truman in 1946.
